I'm Having A Love Affair With

Tangerines.

OMG- they are so good!

Not gonna lie, this morning I brought 5 of them to work with me. I've already had 2, and it's not even 5AM.

I also brought 2 bananas to go in my Greek Yogurt.
(Seriously, that junk is unbearable without putting something in it.) #icanteven

The diet made me a little weak/dizzy yesterday because I don't think I was getting enough in my system. I am used to eating 6 times a day, so I need a looot of snacks.

I incorporated Subway (healthy choices) into my diet and moved the spinach leaves and grilled chicken to "snack time" in the afternoon.

It was def a personal choice, but since I am not doing this to lose weight, just eat healthier...that seemed like a solid move.

Here's lookin' at you Day 4! #bringitON!

Whoever Invented Greek Yogurt, I'd Like to Have a Word With.

Hey y'all!

So, it's Day 3 of the Nutrition Mission, and I have to say that it's absolutely a challenge, but a lot of fun to try foods that I have never had in my life.

This morning, I got up like 20 minutes earlier so I could MAKE my own breakfast. WOO HOO!

I haven't made my own breakfast since...hmm...I can't even answer that honestly because I don't remember. Normally, I skip it.

It felt really good to put a group of foods together that I know is healthy! (Thanks, Coach Mel!)

It's just a lot of stuff that doesn't taste good, but that's totally good for me.

For breakfast, I packed a variety of things.

1.) Dannon Oiko's Greek Yogurt- (with nothing in it...ew.)

(Literally have to eat it just like this, so I won't taste it!)

I keep thinking that if John Stamos can do it, SO CAN I!
Tomorrow, I will probably add bananas or blueberries.

2.) A Natural Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich.
3.) A Tangerine. (sidenote- I think the word tangerine is so much fun to say!)
4.) Water. All water everythang!

Yesterday- Coach Mel and I went to the grocery store. I was pining over the Ben & Jerry's, but thankfully she was pushing the cart...so I got carrots & kale chips instead.

We have planned out each meal for the next 5 days. It feels good to have a schedule. I am the type of person that needs structure, and planning helps immensely.

Everyday for lunch, I will have-

- Butternut Squash
- Spinach Leaves (no dressing or toppings)
-Grilled Chicken

Everyday for dinner, I will have-

-Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms
-Steamed Vegetables

*Prayers welcome
;)

Have a fabulous Thursday! :)

NO Doughnuts for this Girl!

Say WHAAAT?

A beautiful, tasty looking cocoa puff doughnut is gracing the top of my DIET plan!

S'cuse me. That's tempting.

But...NO!

My coach Mel and I are hitting the grocery store today with a serious healthy plan in place. I am ready to take on the next 29 days and make them my healthiest yet!

SO excited to give this doughnut to someone on teh crew- and instead have myself some kale & lentils.

(okay, I mean, i'm not THAT excited. However, at the end of this challenge, I am going to be so thrilled!)

Day 2- let's do this!

Tuesday, January 13, 2015

Day 1, y'all!

and what's this picture? A little FaceTime accountability is what that is!

That's my coach Melanie Ash, and she's making sure I stay on top of this challenge!

You don't play when it comes to coaching with Mel. She WILL make sure you adhere to the challenge. I'm glad, because it makes me stay on task.

So far I have started a food plan, joined a fitness site, and come to the conclusion that after these 30 days I am going to look and feel like a new person!

SO exciting!

It's so exciting to learn about healthy food options!

Today is the Day!

Well, okay, actually tomorrow is the DAY!

Today I accidentally cheated on my diet, because City BBQ came in for the Bucks Game!

WHO wouldn't want to eat some of that. Today is my cheat day for sure, and then tomorrow the greek yogurt, and all other healthy things can come into play.

Bring on 30 days of pure health!

Lets do this, y'all!

PS I did give up soda, still doing only water! WOO HOO!

What. Are. These?

AHHH- I have taken the leap and subbed my daily snickers bar (or 3) for these new healthy treats provided by my friend, Carolyn Bruck!

They weren't bad at all..but they were very different.

Eating healthy is like a whole new world for this girl!

My official plan begins Monday, but it never hurts to get a head start.

I did break down and have a diet coke this morning, because I was SO tired, but it's back to water for me!

Let Me Tell Ya Bout' My Best Fraaand!

His name is Water, and we have something really special going on.

Now, lets be honest...I used to HATE water. It was so disgusting, and it felt like serious torture when I had to drink it! (dramatic much? Yes...but ugh, water GAG me!)

I would literally go out of my way to find diet coke as if I was in the Hunger Games before I would drink the readily available distilled water in my house.

I have not voluntarily had a glass of water since, like, late 1992...and i'm pretty sure my parents bribed me.

EEK!

HOWEVER, times change and I am feeling extremely dedicated to this 30 day challenge, so suddenly I can't get enough water!

If I don't have a water by my side during the day, I feel like i'm doing something wrong!

I am looking forward to working with my coach, beginning today, on forming a meal plan and getting on track with healthy foods!

Will it be tough? Yes.
Will I be distraught? Most likely.
Will I use 4 letter words in abundance while eating kale and lentils? I plead the 5th.

Will it all be worth it? Absolutely.

1 day down. 29 to go...but I feel like once I get hooked on this kick, it will go far beyond just a 30 day challenge!

Join me on this challenge!
